Jay oh bee
Well, time to change gears in the career again. I’m taking on a new position that I think is going to be a great opportunity for advancement, and cut my commute down to nothing. I’ll be taking on an IT Support position for Madisonville Community College. I hope this works into an IT Director/Manager type position in a few years.

ScribbleJam 2005
ScribbleJam was fun. It was my first year going. I bought some pimp shirts from Methods NYC, bought some CDs from the Doomtree artists and got to talk to Sims for a bit. We also got to talk to Glue and were able to get some CDs autographed by all the members as well as take a few pictures. The DJ battle, however, was a sham. Skratch Bastid was robbed. I mean, really, someone call the cops he was mugged. He got “beat” in the semi-final round by a DJ who fucked up a couple of spots in his set. The judges also “deliberated” for over 10 minutes, but refused to allow one more round which would have lasted 4 minutes on the grounds of “it would upset the schedule”. I think this was just scripted and a screwjob directed at Bastid. I emailed him my opinions and offered my support of his set and a couple of hours later I got this reply from him:
Thanks tim,
i appreciate it, man.
It was poorly organized and the video will reflect how shitty
the DJ battle actually was. i had a great time last year and
this year’s battle was just plain wrong. I won’t let it get me
down, i just wish I could’ve done my new stuff!I guess I’ll use it next year. Thanks for the support homie, and
I’ll be back with a vengance 😉Bastid
I hope to attend next year, to support Skratch Bastid’s revenge on the screwjob.

Max OT
Well, I decided to start back lifting and I decided to go with a Max-OT style workout. I modified it to fit a 3-day split that I like use when working out. Right now my first 4-week segment looks like this:
Day 1: Bench Press, Incline Bench Press, Tricep Pushdowns, Wrist Dumbbell Curls.
Day 2: Military Press, Side Lateral Raise (Dumbbells), Upright Row, Lat Pull-downs (front).
Day 3: Squats, Leg Press, Alternating Dumbbell Curls, Cable Curls.I also do a 16-minute “Max-OT” style interval cardio workout on the recumbant bike. I’ll hopefully be posting updates every few weeks.

Yummies: Nikki Cox
New celeb wallpaper, Nikki Cox. I’ve loved her since I saw her on that little dorky TV show they made us watch in grade school.
I also updated the wallpapers layout and removed a bunch of redundant files. Now the largest res I had for that particular image is the only one available for download.

Scion tC top sporty car
J.D. Power and Associates 2005 awards. In the study, Toyota Motor Corporation earns 10 of the top model segment awards, with the Lexus SC 430 honored as the highest-ranking model for the second consecutive year, at 54 problems per 100 vehicles (PP100). Other Toyota models earning segment awards include the Toyota Prius (Compact Car), Scion tC (Sporty Car) and Toyota RAV4 (Entry SUV).
Note: this was the first model year and first year of eligibility for the Scion tC.
Glad to see I made a wise car purchase.

17 Days
Well, I’ve been doing the boxing workout and running on alternating days at least 5 days a week, trying to do 6 times a week, for 17 days now. I’ve also started taking some vitamins from GNC as well as some Hydroxycut Caffeine-free. I don’t know how much I’ve lost, as I didn’t weigh and haven’t weighed yet. I feel like I’m losing some, and I feel much better. I think I am going to try to next week add getting up early and running around the block in the mornings to the workout routine and see if that works better. I am planning on going back to weight training at least one day a week with this boxing/running plan as well.

5 Days
Well, so far I’ve been doing pretty good. I started a modified version of a boxing HOC training, as well as I’ve started running alternating days. I also invested in some vitamins and other supplements to help me, and maybe, with some determination, I will stay focused and motivated on this plan. I’m going to try to post updates at 5 day intervals on here just to track my progress. What started this new attempt and increased motivation? I saw an ad in FHM promoting this article, I read it, and decided it was time to do this right. Now I just need some good running shoes.
