riverstages 2003
this is definately going to be an annual event that i attend. riverstages 2003 rocked… live rocked hard, we were down in front against the barrier for them… really good show… the b52’s also were very good… jason mraz was really good, even though we only caught part of his set on friday… and everclear… one of the best sets i’ve ever seen from any concert… the pit was awesome… to bad the setup at riverfront part does not lend itself to kindly to crowd surfers… jamie got dropped on the concrete steps… he was ok, but we saw a few others that were not so lucky… we met some beautiful girls in nashville, i really envy the guys that live there, they have a nice pond to pick from…
overall i think everyone had a good trip, except kyle, who passed out friday from to much canadian mist… but, you have to learn somehow…
i think jamie really enjoyed his bachelor party… and the girls at hooters who gave him a nice fairwell to single life…
p.s. hi to lauren and mindi, i doubt you all will ever read this, but yea, i was one of the guys down there in the front with you… 😉

power outage
today royally sucked… the power went out at work at about 2pm cst, so, we sit around for a couple of hours… finally about 4:30 the decision was made that we could go home until the city got the power back on… well, here it is, and i’m just getting home from work (give or take a few minutes)… the power didn’t come back on till 10pm cst, so i had to go back in and finish up what was needed for tonights paper… tomorrow is going to suck… i needed to work LATE today to get caught up, but i’m not worried about it… i’m leaving at 3pm tomorrow no matter what… i have to get to nashville, my best friend’s bachelor party is tomorrow, and i’m throwing it… we’re going to nashville for a last night of fun with the close circle of friends from high school. they can deal with whatever extra special bullshit they sold to try and make the month at the last freaking minute theirselves…
on a more positive note, my macbatteries came in today, i now have two working 6100/66 dos compatible power macs, with monitors… total investment so far ~$30 for two adb mice and one adb keyboard and two main board batteries… the rest of the parts i’ve gotten from the stash at work… two asante ethernet adapters, a hdi45 adapter, power cables, local talk cables, and 16mb of ram… i think i’m going to order some more ram tho and max these machines out… i can get some 64mb 72pin fpm sticks from coast 2 coast memory for next to nothing… i might order a set of 64s and a set of 32s… i think i’m going to make one of these into a ppc linux box… haven’t decided on what distro yet…

i had almost forgotten the few tracks i had done with a couple of bands i played in in the past. since my friend saint is in, maybe he has a copy of the few rap/rock songs we did…
i also took a turn at some techno tracks, and i’ve been meaning to do some more, maybe with some rap/funk lines and some lyrics… just can’t ever seem to find the time to do them tho…
just thought i’d share these two links with you all, and hopefully i can get a copy of the few other songs i did… the great thing about .mp3 is you can share your work with people who would never have heard it before, and you can also put it on the internet so that it never goes away…
mp3 is not a crime is what i’d call that… 😉

new subnoize cds
i ordered some new subnoize tribe discs last night… well, some new some old… shakey bonez, the masked man, pakelika, grand vanacular and a spaded, jaded and faded sampler from srh.
also, my man saint called me, he’s back from his duty in japan, and will be in town for a few weeks before going on vacation, then heading up to chi-town to work in the jag office there… the reason i mention him, is he is the man that introduced me to subnoize music, and plus, i just got the call from him yesterday that he’s in town 😉

well, i called nissan and ordered my “the run” dvd… if you don’t know what this is, go to Z.com and check it out… it’s a 7 minute continuously shot run of a 350Z just eating it as hard as it can through Prague… no special effects, no blue screens, just pure, raw 350Z power…. makes you want one doesn’t it?
