HOORAJ! Signed the agreement that I had somehow overlooked in my test results online, so now my certification progress is complete, and I can officially post the logos on my website now. I am now certified under the CCNA program.

I have enabled mod_rewrite on my wallpapers directory. If you wish to use these images in a forum somewhere, you’ll have to use your own bandwidth. You can still browse these images, you just have to come in from my site. I still need to tweak the rewrite rules to allow direct requests of these files, as of right now those are 403’d.

Wow… I’m impressed. I never really got into news aggrigators before, because mainly, I’m at work or school and I get out of synch. Not anymore! Rnews probably isn’t new to most of you, but to me it’s new, and very useful. I’ve set this up today and started adding feeds to it, set it as my homepage at work, and I’m going to do the same at home and school. Wow… this is really cool. I’ll show it to some other people as well, see if they find it usefull too.

Boom… the freebie frankenmac project is done. The free blue & white chasis I got from work, with a new (used) G3 Yosemite logic board, two sticks of 256meg ram from OWC, a Radeon 7000, and a G4 550 upgrade processor. I still had a few lockup issues, I don’t know if it was the old G3 processor which may have been damaged, OR the zip drive in this chasis. I disabled the zip drive cable connection the same time I put the G4 in, so I’m not sure which one killed the freezes. Right now, I’m running iTunes to stress the system and test the stability.

I got a G3 Blue & White chasis, power supply, CD-Rom and Zip drive from work today for free. On my way to eBaying myself a FrankenMac to run some OS X goodiness.

Actually, no… 3.0 gigahertz, OC’d from a P4 2.4c… 512 mb corsair DDR400 ram, Cheiftec Matrix case with side window, 5 led fans, Enermax FCA power supply… SWEEEEET new system. My racing sim FPS jumped from 40fps to 130fps. SWEEEEET. Just thought I’d share.

Maybe I’ll rework the wallpaper section this week. It’s been needing a facelift for a while. I also want to get a new site developed for the colo box to hopefully get a few users and some income.

fixed this so the style selection on the menu should be working again now… silly rabbit, the domain name was new so it couldn’t use the old cookie!

i am really loving my purchase of this Sony MiniDisc player/recorder. i’ve been using at work for a week, and several days during my vacation and just today the first bar on the battery meter went away. its nice being able to put 5 hours worth of music on a small 2″ square disc.
